Apart from dedicated requests for his own material he
made note of their favourites from other performers. He
decided there were too many for 1 album so he realised he
would either have to do a double-album or two separate ones.
Then, in a conscious effort to please them even further, he
realised that while some liked it fast and rocky, others
preferred the slower ballads and sometimes they had to
purchase an entire CD just for a couple of fast songs or
vice versa - hence two completely different albums.
Country Rocks was a Hit even before it was released with
advance orders flooding the Fan Club. Track 1,'Baby Likes
To Rock It' is another 'Tush Push' favourite which sees
Kerrigan get down with the dancers and wriggle his hips. He
performed this song on New Zealand Television.
Track 2 was performed on Australian TV - a song as
Kerrigan puts it 'people love to hate' - the good old 'Achy
Breaky Heart.'
Track 12 is a great finale and Kerrigan not only gets the
crowd dancing but singing as well. A great up-tempo album
done in Kerrigan's own inimitable style.
